KK lighting week2

when you first open the nuke lighting file you will get this, it means that we need to repath the documents.

the first step ctrl+a select all the node,

and then click ctrl+shift+/, type in YOUR_ACCOUNT, and kk account.

I have the same issue as Emma and Crystal did, the image shows up unlike KK’s, then I saw Emma posted how she fix this problem. After replacing the path, select the node on the right-hand side, and press 1 you will see the correct view in the viewpoint.

the workflow of the lighting process, it can be divided into 3 parts. the first part is to adjust the color value of the plate. we will find a reference object in the plate and compare it to the grey sphere ref, chrome sphere ref, Macbeth ref. we going to use the wood box in the plate, as our reference.

hit the plate node and click 1, to display it in the viewpoint. and then hit the control shift-left mouse button to select the box.

go to the viewer-window-script editor, to write down the value shown in the viewpoint right corner.

go to the HDRI box and connect the exposure node and multiply node like this.

press 1 to show the HDRI in your viewpoint, and compare the same wood box value with the plate, you will see the RGB value is a lot lower than the plate one.

I create an exposure node to adjust the lighting, set the adjust in attribute to stop. and start to adjust the Red, Green and Blue value, KK recommends us to start from the highest one. so I start to adjust the red value first. when you are adjusting, remember to click the exposure node to see the change immediately.

add a multiply(math)node under the exposure node, and select the channel to RGB.and then just the red gree and blue value same as the plate.

then go to the reference box, to adjust the value like before.

create an exposure node and match the value and then create a multiply node like before.

these two nodes can be duplicate to the chrome sphere ref and Macbeth chart ref. because their attribute is the same. and we will see they match better with the plate RGB value.

in this case, I met a problem the Spherical transform show error, I am asking for help at discord, Abbie has the same problem. the reason is that we have to use NUKE 12.2V3 version, I switch to this version and the problem is gone.
